World Book Day is this year being held on Thursday 7th March. This year we have decided not to dress up, but would ask that the children bring in a book to share please. We will include a reminder in the next newsletter. Many thanks
Following on from the success of our first School Grounds Working Party I would like to ask for volunteers to help to dig the topsoil and manure into the beds.
If you are able to spare some time on Saturday, 9th March from 9.30 – 10.30am it would be lovely to see you. If we get lots of volunteers there are various other small gardening jobs that need doing as well.
Once again, please bring your own gardening tools.
I look forward to seeing you.
Yours sincerely
Jo Hughes
Class Teacher
We are looking forward to our school grounds working party this Saturday, if any parents are able to give up a small amount of time between 9.30 and 12noon to help us that would be a great help. Please bring a fork or spade as we will be weeding and digging over flower and vegetable beds, as well as many other jobs. We look forward to seeing you.
School will be open today. Please send your child in uniform with appropriate outdoor clothes and footwear, as it is likely the staff will want the children to have some time in the snow.
If it is convenient to you we would like to have a longer session at orchestra next Tuesday 18th December and finish at 4.45pm. This will help to rehearse our Christmas performance. Thank you for your support.
Unfortunately the field is very waterlogged and it has been decided to cancel Cross Country tomorrow morning (Tuesday 4th December). We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Unfortunately Mrs Saunders is unwell and we have, therefore, had to cancel Y5S Parents' Evening tomorrow, Tuesday 27th November. When Mrs Saunders returns we will rearrange the Parents' Evening and let parents know the date. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Gifts for the Men.... Agh - We're a little bit short of them!
Unfortunately Mrs Saunders is unwell and we have, therefore, had to cancel the assembly tomorrow morning (Wednesday) at 9.15am in St Barnabas Church. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and will reschedule the assembly at a later date.
Just a reminder FOSPS are holding a fireworks night this Friday, 2nd November. Tickets are available on application from the school office. Last day for applications is this Thursday, 1st November.
Friday is a non-uniform day in exchange for chocolate (in date and no nuts please) for the very popular chocolate tombola. If possible, we would like children to wear a bright item as a reminder of "Be Bright, Be Seen" now the evenings are getting darker. Thank you for your support.
