The children across KS2 have been making table decorations, Christmas cards and Christmas decorations for some of the local community who will be having a Christmas Lunch at Swanmore Methodist Church on Christmas Day. These people were otherwise spending the day on their own. Mrs J explained the task and as the children were making the decorations and gifts they discussed all the lovely things they usually do on Christmas Day themselves - a lot of the activities involved being around other people and spending time with family and friends. The children were all very reflective about all the people that might not be quite as lucky as them and they worked extra especially hard to make the gifts perfect for them.
