Year 3 were delighted to be invited to St Barnabas Church by the Church Team and community on Wednesday, 19^th October.  Small groups of children spent time at 5 different stations to learn about how:

The Church Welcomes - by the font, the children learned about baptism.

The Church Teaches - by the pulpit and lectern, the children thought about The Bible.

The Church Prays - by the prayer corner, the children talked about the importance of prayer and lit a tea light candle to place on the globe in a moment of personal reflection.

The Church Serves - by the stained-glass window of St Francis the children thought about being helpful to others.

The Church Celebrates - by the altar, the children learnt about Holy Communion.

The Church Shares - in one final activity the children had the opportunity to share with others what they had learnt.

It was a wonderful experience and the Year 3 talked enthusiastically about what they had discovered about the church and all that it has to offer.
