Year 4
In Year 4 we looked at Paganism and how Pagans celebrate different festivals within their religion. We identified how the Wheel of The Year plays an important role in the Pagan festival Calender and how their festivals are celebrated at different points of the year at times of seasonal change, such as the Summer Solstice and Winter Solstice. We then created our own Wheel of The Year inspired by the meanings behind each festival celebrated at that specific time of year.
We then focused our investigation on Stonehenge and how this was a special place for many people, including Pagans. We discovered when it was built, how it may have been built and how it may have been used.
Finally, we designed our own festival to fit into the Wheel of The Year and related it to activities we enjoy doing in nature in today's modern world.
