The School Library Service's recommended reads for 2024 are sent out via parent mail and are posted on Class Dojo. They are also accessible via the 'Recommended Reading Lists' link on the right-hand side of the page. The lists can be accessed using the username lib@swanmoreapps.com and the password detailed in the school newsletter. Please contact the office or Mrs Cole if you need a reminder!
For additional reading support websites, please see the links at the bottom of the page.
Pupils from Y1-Y6 now have access to our e-book platform, Sora, which supplies the children with thousands of digital books, magazines, graphic novels and audio-books! You can explore the wonderful world of Sora here, feel free to contact Mrs. Cole by email (library@swanmoreapps.com) if you need to be reminded of your log-in details. You can find guidance on logging in and exploring Sora on our Summer Reading Page - click here to jump to this page.
Sharing stories about various situations can put a child’s mind at ease and make transitions and new experiences easier to cope with and more understandable. When a book might help is a list of suitable story books created by Hampshire Libraries and can be found here.
Our children are introduced to reading using Read, Write, Inc. Phonics. If you are looking to support your child's learning or have heard them use phrases such as 'fred talk' and 'special friends' when reading and wish to know more about what this means, you may find this site helpful.
The cost of living crisis is affecting us all. As times become tougher, we look to libraries to inspire the local community. Click here for more information about how your local library can help you.
